Only 3 miles from our site is the small market town of Longtown. It benefits from free parking and boasts a wide variety of shops, including a Spar grocery, Independent fruit and vegetable shops, Ironmonger (supplier of calor gas) , Post Office, Newsagents, Chemist, Butchers, Opticians, Fuel Station and multiple takeaway restaurants.
The area also offers an enviable selection of restaurants and cafes.

Gretna Green is only a 10 minute drive from South Lamb Hill, here you can visit the wedding capital of the UK, the world famous Blacksmiths Shop and Gretna Gateway Shopping Outlet Centre. Gretna Green has over 260 years of history and heritage - historically it was the first village in Scotland, following the old coaching route from London to Edinburgh. With its easy access from the A7 and to the M74 motorway it makes it a great place to stop by or visit during your stay.
Only 12 miles away we have the historic Border City of Carlisle. Carlisle is steeped in history, with the impressive Carlisle Castle, Cathedral and Tullie House Museum. Carlisle has plenty of offerings with the Lanes Shopping centre, Indoor Market, Football Club, Railway Station, Golf Clubs, Cinema and plenty of Restaurants and eateries.
Brampton is situated 15 miles to the South East which is another idyllic market town. Whilst there you can also visit the impressive Lanercost Priory or explore the nearby Gelt Woods and Irving Valley.
We are also within easy reach of the Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder, Dumfries & Galloway, and the Scottish Borders.
